AMERICANS looking to open up a bank account should act quickly, as several banks are offering high bonuses for new accounts.
Major banks, such as Chase and Wells Fargo, are offering customers hundreds of dollars to sign up, but these deals are only available for a limited time.

Chase is giving a $300 bonus to any customer who opens a new Chase Total Checking account.
To get the bonus, customers must open the account, sign up for direct deposit, and then claim the money.
If their account is in good standing, the $300 will be deposited directly into their checking account.
The last day to sign up for the bonus is October 15.
Chase is also giving out a bonus for its Business Complete Checking account.
New business checking account members can receive between $300-$500, depending on how much they deposit into their accounts.
To earn $300, customers must deposit at least $2,000.
For the $500 bonus, customers must deposit at least $10,000.
The account balance must then be maintained for more than 60 days, and five quality transactions must be made within 90 days.
The promotion ends on October 16.
Truist One is also offering a new checking account with a $400 bonus if you sign up by October 29.
To receive the bonus, customers must open a new checking account online, set up direct deposit, and receive at least two direct deposits worth $1,000 into the account within 120 days.
Then, if the account is in good standing, they can claim the $400 bonus, and it will be deposited within four weeks of meeting the requirements.
Only residents of certain states are eligible to claim the bonus.

Customers must sign up for direct deposit and receive at least $1,000 within 90 days.
Transfers from apps like Venmo don’t count towards the $1,000.
After 90 days, if the account is in good standing, customers will receive their bonus within a month.
The last day to sign up for the bonus is October 15.
Customers of Huntington Bank can receive a $400 bonus when they open an Unlimited Business Checking account.
To receive the money, customers must deposit at least $5,000 and keep the account open for 90 days.
The promotion ends on October 16.
Huntington Bank is offering a similar promotion for its Unlimited Plus Business checking account.
To qualify for the $1,000 bonus, customers must deposit at least $20,000 within
60 days, maintain the balance for 60 days, and keep the account open for 90 days.
