NFL fans were left in disbelief at Joe Burrow taking some huge hits during a preseason game.
Viewers couldn’t believe the Cincinnati Bengals risked their quarterback getting badly hurt.

Burrow played in his team’s preseason victory at the Washington Commanders on Monday night.
The Bengals ran out 31-17 winners, but that wasn’t fans’ biggest concern.
The amount of playing time given to Burrow caused alarm.
The quarterback was nine for 14 for 62 yards and a touchdown.
But there were multiple instances where he was chased down and hit hard by the Commanders pass rush.
Burrow took one sack and was swung around on another play, which resulted in a defensive penalty.
And fans couldn’t believe he stayed in the game.
One said, “Good lord. Get Joe Burrow out of the game.
“This is super unnecessary.”
While another posted, “This is going be bad for Bengals if Joe Burrow gets hurt.”
And a third said, “Why play your franchise QB in the preseason?”
Cincinnati’s hopes of a deep playoff run rest largely on the former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick.
Burrow has dealt with injury problems in the past.
He suffered a serious knee injury in his rookie season 2020 which caused him to miss the last six games.
Burrow’s rehab period was so long that he just made it back in time for the start of the 2021 season.

Burrow led the league in both passing yards and touchdowns in a stellar 2024 campaign.
He threw for 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns but the Bengals missed the playoffs.
The team is looking to reach the Super Bowl again having lost to the Los Angeles Rams in February 2022.
