BAKER Mayfield will be relieved after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers handed out a mega-money contract.
The Bucs have splashed the cash as they secure their biggest stars as the 2025 season nears.

According to ESPN, Luke Goedeke, 26, has reached an agreement to remain with the Florida franchise.
It is understood that he has signed a mega $90 million contract.
This includes a $50 million guarantee as part of his latest four-year deal with the Bucs.
The right tackle has been influential for the Bucs over recent season as a protector for quarterback Mayfield.
He has started 38 of his 41 appearances for the franchise since joining in 2022.
Goedeke was selected in the second round and 57th overall by the Bucs during the 2022 NFL Draft.
The right tackle signed an initial four-year rookie contract with the Bucs.
This was due to expire after the 2025 season, but he will now remain in Tampa Bay.
His partnership with quarterback Mayfield has become a cornerstone of the Bucs’ offense over recent years.
Mayfield joined the Bucs in 2023 after a brief spell with the Los Angeles Rams.
He was recruited as a replacement for the retiring seven-time Super Bowl winner, Tom Brady.
The team placed first in the NFC South during Mayfield’s first season in Tampa Bay.
They beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2023 Wild Card play-off before suffering defeat against the Detroit Lions.
Mayfield’s second season at the side saw the Bucs top the NFC South again.
Despite their regular season success, Mayfield could not best the Washington Commanders during the 2024 Wild Card play-off.

General manager Jason Licht looks to have settled upon his long-term offensive line with Goedeke completing the puzzle.
Left tackle Tristan Wirfs, 26, agreed to a five-year extension last season, with his contract now aligned with teammate Goedeke’s.
Both players’ contracts will now run through to the 2029 campaign.
Veteran Mayfield received a reworked contract during the offseason as the Bucs place their faith in him.
Having fallen short last season, the Bucs will now believe that everything is in place for Mayfield to deliver success this year.
