Target’s massive push to win back shoppers kicks off this weekend

TARGET is kicking off a sales event starting this weekend, just in time for seasonal savings.

In an attempt to draw in shoppers, Target is starting its 2025 holiday season early with a wide range of deals.

Target’s Circle Week starts on October 5 and runs through October 11— but some can access deals even earlier.

Target Circle 360 members can get a 24-hour head start in store and online.

The early access includes special offers for members including the first chance to shop exclusive Target products like Nintendo gaming accessories and Shea McGee holiday ornaments.

Just note that Target Circle 360 memberships are not free.

Shoppers can choose to sign up for a 14-day free trial, a monthly membership of $10.99 or an annual membership for $99, which comes out to $8.25 a month.

College students and those who receive government assistance may qualify to get 50% off their monthly membership.

“Target Circle Week is more than just another sale,” Cara Sylvester, Target’s executive vice president and chief guest experience officer, said.

“It’s the kickoff to holiday shopping with savings on the styles, trends and essentials guests love to find at Target.”

COMEBACK

The event comes after Target faced boycotts in 2025.

The boycotts followed the company’s decision to scale back on its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

The retailer also faced backlash after downsizing its product line specifically sold for Pride Month.

The sales event will include discounts on Halloween items, holiday gifts, fall style items and everyday essentials.

Offers start at 40% off and can reach higher levels with the retailer’s Deal of the Day program, with discounts hitting name brands like Apple, Champion and Crocs.

Ahead of Halloween, Target is offering 40% off costumes.

There will also be buy one get one half off deals on candy, helping shoppers save money on their supply for trick-or-treaters.

The sales event includes sales on clothing like 30% off denim for adults, 30% off women’s sweatshirts and sweatpants and 20% off Converse shoes for everyone and children’s apparel.
