Taylor, 35, spent time with the children and staff, as well as taking a few selfies and giving them signed copies of her book.
In one meeting, she was asked why she was in Florida, which was when she gave the brief message.
She explained: “My boyfriend is training here.
The Shake It Off singer then added: “So I just thought I’d come and see how you’re doing.
“Just drop in on you, you know what I mean.”
Kelce has been training hard during the offseason in Florida, having decided to continue playing into his 13th season.
However, the tight end did not appear at the Kansas City Chiefs‘ voluntary OTAs last week.
Questions surrounded the 10-time Pro Bowler about whether he will practice during mandatory minicamps, which begin tomorrow.
Taylor was thanked for her visit on social media by the official Instagram account of the hospital.
A statement read: “You made this a day we’ll never shake off.
“Thank you, Taylor Swift for bringing your support and kindness to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
“You turned hospital hallways into a place of joy, comfort, and connection.
“Our patients and families felt the love and the magic will stay, stay, stay with them long after today.”
Kelce has kept out of the spotlight for a good part of the offseason with his music icon of a girlfriend.
The pair did return to the limelight last week, however, as they both enjoyed date nights and even a Stanley Cup Final game last week.
The Chiefs will begin their quest to make it to the Super Bowl for a fourth straight year this fall.
They will take on the division rival Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil for a Week 1 battle on September 5.
