TEEN Mom regular Amber Portwood has insisted she’s done with the controversial reality show after a “disgusting” move by producers.
The 35-year-old, who first found fame on 16 and Pregnant back in the 2000s, has been a regular face on Teen Mom and its unfolding spin-offs including The Next Chapter.

However, in March, Amber declared on a series of TikTok Lives that she had spectacularly quit the show amid rumours that she had been fired.
Now, in a new live, Amber has opened up about why – and it has something to do with her daughter, Leah, who has gone no contact with her mom.
According to The Ashley Reality Round-Up, she told viewers on the Live: “What they did with my daughter, when they had her text me, that whole bullcrap situation they planned to get me to have a reaction? It was disgusting.”
In the season finale, Amber was seen receiving a text from her estranged mom, stating that the decision to cut communication with her was her own choice, and no one else’s.
With cameras there as the message came through, Amber came to believe that it was the producers’ choice when the message was sent, and she angrily turned to the camera, calling her daughter ‘disrespectful’ for doing that to her.
In the new Live, Amber said this was the final straw for her when it came to the MTV show.
“I was done after that,” she said. “That was the last time I ever filmed with them.”
Further on in the livestream, Amber bizarrely bragged about her celebrity status, and claimed that she had frequently told the camera crews to get out of her house.
Amber has been a long-controversial figure on the Teen Mom franchise, having been jailed multiple times for domestic abuse – some of the incidents were caught on camera.
Despite this, MTV decided to continue filming with her.
In 2017, it was revealed that the mom-of-two had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder – which made her decide to not have any more kids.
During an episode of Teen Mom OG, Amber and then-fiancé Matt Baier opened up about their decision to not add to their brood.
Baier noted that the choice had made Amber have an “emotional breakdown”.
“I just got re-diagnosed for Borderline Personality and Bipolar Disorder, and I’ve been taking three medications now that I need to take for the rest of my life,” she told cameras.
“I can’t, I can’t get pregnant on this medication,” before adding: “I can get pregnant, but it would mess up the fetus.
“If I do not have medication, I will not be normal. I would have … crazy mood swings.”
