A TEENAGE boy has been mauled by a shark at a popular beach and rushed to hospital with “serious” arm injuries.
Emergency services were called to reports of the attack at Cabarita Beach in the Tweed region, Australia just before 4pm on Sunday.
NSW Ambulance said the teenage boy had been bitten on the arm.
The boy was airlifted to hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
It is not known what type of shark attacked the boy.
