Lopez allegedly struck a man and his nine-year-old niece with a “green dildo” during Tuesday’s game between the Phoenix Mercury and Connecticut Sun, according to Fox 10 Phoenix.

He was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, assault, and public display of explicit sexual material.

Lopez made an appearance in court on Wednesday.

According to the New York Post, the Phoenix Police Department made an arrest on August 5 around 8:03 pm, local time.

The police also confirmed that the individual had cooperated with officers.

“Ultimately, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will make the final decision on prosecution,” a department spokesperson told the Post.

Court documents state that the male victim was watching the game “when something hit his back then fell to the ground next to them.”

The man realized what hit him and “desires prosecution.”

The entire incident was captured on video and a volunteer at the arena tackled Lopez to stop him from leaving before police could come.

Lopez allegedly bought the sex toy the day before the game.

Court documents indicate that Lopez was apologetic for what he did, calling it a “stupid prank that was trending on social media.”

The WNBA and PHX Arena are pushing for Lopez to be prosecuted for disorderly conduct, according to Fox 10.

So many sex toys have been tossed on courts that the WNBA was forced to respond.

“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league,” the WNBA said in a statement.
