At around the one minute mark in the second quarter of the game, Anderson completed a tackle on Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon.
Anderson immediately collapsed on the field and was left motionless.
Medical staff worked on Anderson for minutes while the stadium laid silent and players from both teams knelt in prayer around him.
Eventually, he was placed on a stretcher and taken off the field.
Anderson gave a thumbs up while being stretchered away.
According to NBC’s Kathryn Tappen, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko said that Anderson was taken to Beacon Memorial Hospital.
The hospital is a level two trauma center.
However, the hospital visit was for “precautionary reasons” and Anderson had “feeling in all of his limbs.”
It was a scary moment on the field, and announcer Todd Blackledge shared just how bad things looked during the game.
“It is a violent game and everybody that plays it knows that and understands that,” he said.
“But you just are never prepared for an injury that looks like this.”
After the game, Elko came out and shared an update on Andersons health.
“Still praying for Bryce,” he said.
“At this point, all signs are positive. I don’t think we are done with every diagnostic testing but so far every test that we’ve run through has come back positive.”
