The huge number of rules rowdy Ryder Cup fans must follow including ‘cheer with class’ or risk being KICKED OUT

ROWDY Ryder Cup fans must follow a huge number of rules – or risk being kicked out.

Around 50,000 supporters will be on site at Bethpage Black for this week’s battle between the US and Europe.

And plenty has been made of the choice of a course in New York – with fears the raucous home fanatics may overstep the line.

Andrew Coltart told SunSport he advised the players’ wives and families NOT to go out on the course to watch to avoid being abused by the crowd.

Xander Schauffele’s dad Stefan revealed he would boycott attending the tournament – especially after the furore in Rome regarding the USA team not being paid and how tempers boiled over in the car park between Rory McIlroy and Patrick Cantlay’s caddie Joe LaCava.

Schauffele Sr told The Times: “I’m afraid of what’s going to happen in New York.

“I was there [at Whistling Straits] when they called Shane Lowry’s wife a w***e in front of him. I couldn’t believe my ears.

“That was utterly disgusting claiming this money bulls***, and Rory behaved disgustingly in my opinion.

“It’s only going to get worse. It’s ruined my appetite for the Ryder Cup. It becomes unwatchable.”

But fans in attendance at the Ryder Cup need to comply with the ‘admissions and code of conduct policies’.

Part of the stumping up a whopping $750 (£555) tickets meant fans agreed to the terms and conditions of entry.

And there is massive long list to follow or else they could be sent packing off the site – including “respecting the game”, cheering with class”, an “alcohol policy” and even restrictions around taking photos during the competition days.

The Ryder Cup policy says: “As a supporter of USA, Europe, or simply the game of golf, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct and courtesy.

“Honor the traditions and customs of golf, including silence during shots, respectful applause, and fair play.

“Avoid disruptive behavior, including heckling, taunting, or intentional distraction of players.

“Recognize that golf is a game of integrity; your conduct reflects on the team(s) you support and the event itself.

“Celebrate your team with pride, but never at the expense of others.
