The Paper and Never Have I Ever star Ramona Young is really 33 despite claims she’s 27 years old

NEVER Have I Ever and The Paper star Ramona Young’s fans have been speculating over her real age after she was listed as being 27 years old online.

The U.S. Sun can reveal that the American actress is actually 33, despite her Wikipedia and IMDB claiming she’s six years younger.

Public records show the star’s full name, Ramona Abish Young, and list her as being born in August 1992.

Fans took to forums to question her online biographies after she found fame with the Netflix teen drama series, in which she plays Eleanor Wong.

“Ramona Young from Never Have I Ever is also in her early 30s and has a stage age listed online,” one user claimed.

“I think she looks great but when the show premiered I also thought how she does not look 22ish.”

Another wrote, “It is true, I can confirm because I knew her personally in 2010 at Cal State LA. She was definitely not 12. She was 17 at that time.”

“Yeah that is what I had heard about Ramona as well, but I couldn’t find verification. I knew she was older than Maitreyi by a decent amount,” referencing her co-star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who is 23.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Ramona’s team for comment but did not hear back.

Ramona, who is based in Los Angeles, also featured on the show Santa Clarita Diet and had earlier roles on ABC’s The Real O’Neals and The CW’s Arrowverse.

NEW SHOW

She is currently appearing in The Office spinoff, The Paper, which streams on Peacock and is getting a lot of buzz online from fans of the original show.

The series follows a new cast of characters who work in the office of the Toledo Truth Teller newspaper in Ohio.

Ramona plays circulation specialist Nicole Lee and appears alongside actor Melvin Gregg, who is her love interest, ad salesman Detrick Moore, and their storyline has captivated viewers.

Viewers online were thrilled she was cast in the show, with one writing, “I was so happy when I found out that she was going to be in the show. I miss Santa Clarita Diet so much but I’m happy that she is still getting work.”

Another shared, “I knew her just from her voice. The rest of the show is meh so far but I’m very excited for Ramona.”

“I am actually very excited to see her in that show! She was amazing in SCD. And I saw her in Never Have I Ever, where she played totally different character who is bubbly and super friendly, so I know she has amazing range,” a third added.

Speaking about her career, Ramona previously told Naluda Magazine, “I don’t have family in the business. My grandfather is an eastern doctor. My grandmother sold clothes on the sidewalk. My mother is in the Navy. My father is a psychologist and professor.

“It wasn’t so much knowing I needed to be an actress, it was slowly accepting I couldn’t not do it. I’ve dreamt about acting since freshman year of high school. I didn’t pursue it then though.

“I graduated college a few years early, and my family wanted me to go to grad school.

“I stepped into my first class and left bawling because I felt like I was throwing what I was about away, even though I didn’t know what that was yet.”

She told the outlet she admires actresses such as Lea Seydoux, Alicia Vikander, and Kate Winslet.

“I admire actors and actresses I can’t recognize from role to role,” she explained.

‘TEEN STARS’

“You see that they’ve put their own egos so far to the side, that only pure acting is left, I think having a good sense of humor probably helps one do that, on top of an indispensable commitment.”

Ramona is not the first actress to become the subject of internet speculation after she was listed as being years younger.

My Life with the Walter Boys star Nikki Rodriguez is 33, The U.S. Sun recently confirmed, after reports claimed she is just 22.

Several reputable news outlets list her as being 11 years younger, and she does not appear to have corrected them.

The U.S. Sun found public records listing her full name as Nicole Marie Rodriguez, and her date of birth as July 1992, with a prior address in Minnesota, where she grew up.

The actress plays 15-year-old Jackie Howard in My Life with the Walter Boys, which has been compared to the hit show The Summer I Turned Pretty.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Nikki’s team for comment, but did not hear back.
