Priyanshi Yadav has ticked off one of her bucket list items by being part of a popular historical tale, accepting the new challenge of playing Sanyogita in Sony Entertainment Television’s historical presentation, Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. The talented actress showcased her prowess in shows Pandya Store, Doree 2 etc.

Your first historical role. How did you decide to take it up?
I have always admired historical tales, and being part of one felt like the perfect chance to challenge myself as an actor. The moment I heard the narration, I knew I had to bring her journey to life on screen.
Portraying Sanyogita means balancing softness with strength, which is both challenging and exciting for me.
What are your preparations for the role of Sanyogita?
I am focusing on understanding her era, mannerisms, and emotional depth. I have been working on my dialogue delivery.
Any specific guidance you got from anyone on how you should attempt such roles?
One piece of advice that stayed with me was, “Don’t play Sanyogita, become her.”
Tell us about your initial observation on your role?
She is gentle yet fearless, royal yet relatable. Sanyogita is not just a historical figure but a symbol of love and bravery. Portraying her means balancing softness with strength, which is both challenging and exciting for me.
What do you expect to learn from this experience?
Such roles demand precision, attention to detail, and a lot of emotional investment. I am also looking forward to understanding how to hold a larger-than-life screen presence without losing the authenticity of emotions.
You have opted to do something different like this quite early in your career. Has this been on your wishlist?
Absolutely! I have always dreamed of doing something that would allow me to explore a different era, to wear those beautiful costumes.
