THE Traitors is back with a bang, returning for a brand-new series packed with even more backstabbing and mind games.
The series will still be fronted by Scot Alan Cumming but this time a game-changing twist is set to shake things up.

The Traitors is now headed to network NBC with a new civilian-led version of the reality competition series.
Cumming’s revealed the announcement at the Televerse 2025 conference during The Traitors: Reality Competition Program Nominee FYC Panel.
Hosted at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles, the panel included past celebrity Traitors including Bob The Drag Queen, Rob Mariano, Cirie Fields, Kate Chastain and Phaedra Parks.
Speaking about the upcoming series – which won’t feature any famous faces – Alan said: “The money will mean more to them.
“I’m pretty excited about it. I think it’s going to be a hoot.”
The TV host also revealed that the civilian season will be filmed next spring so fans won’t have to wait too long for the show to air.
Sharon Vuong, NBC’s executive vice president of unscripted programming, said: ” With our resident host and gameplay master of ceremonies, Alan Cumming, on board to introduce complete strangers to new epic missions and twisted gameplay.
“This new version for NBC offers a unique opportunity for the cast and audience to meet each other for the first time and we know it will be incredible to watch.”
On The Traitors, Alan oversees a select group of contestants from other reality shows trying to win a $250,000 grand prize.
Only a select few are Traitors, the rest Faithfuls, but no one knows which is which (except the Traitors).
The third US season aired earlier this year on Peacock and similar to previous seasons – and the UK version of the show – took place in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
In the end it was celebs Dylan Efron, Dolores Catania, Ivar Mountbatten, and Gabby Windey who won the show.
The first two seasons premiered in January 2023 and 2024, respectively.
The first season showed a mix of civilians and stars as they jumped through hoops to win challenges in order to increase the prize pot.
Season 1 didn’t blow away fans as many of the cast members were not famous.
But this time around with its new civilian-led show bosses are hoping to “discover the next generation of legendary gamers and schemers”.
