‘This is just cheating’ – Fuming fans slam NFL as Philadelphia Eagles once again get away with tush push’ penalty

NFL fans are fuming after the Philadelphia Eagles, once again, appeared to get away with a tush push penalty.

The tush push has caused controversy yet again during the Eagles’ home contest against the Los Angeles Rams.

Scrutiny for the tush push has only amped up after an Eagles play in the first quarter at Lincoln Financial Field.

Philly was facing a fourth-and-1 play at the 3-yard line on the team’s first drive.

Nick Sirianni’s squad elected to run their patented play, the tush push.

Jalen Hurts managed to put the football over the first-down line, and the drive continued.

However, fans spotted that the Eagles shouldn’t have gotten the first down as refs appeared to miss a false start on the play.

Fox rules analyst Mike Pereira showed how right guard Tyler Steens moved before the snap and confirmed the officials should’ve called a false start on the play.

“They want it literal, with no early movement,” Pereira explained of the NFL’s thought-process on officiating the Tush Push.

“It is a difficult play to officiate … in real time, it probably didn’t look like much, but it was a false start.”

Two plays later, Philadelphia ran the tush-push for a touchdown.

Pereira even believed the referees could’ve called a false start on the touchdown.

That’s all NFL fans needed to see and hear, as plenty of them bashed the league’s officiating of the Tush Push and calling out the Eagles at the same time.

“This is just cheating,” one wrote.

“The league is basically letting the Eagles cheat,” another commented.

“I thought they were supposed to call it tighter today,” a third said.

“When will the @NFL start calling penalties on this?” a fourth asked.

“This play needs to be stopped,” a fifth added.

NFL owners voted on whether to ban the Tush push play during the offseason.

It was narrow, but the motion didn’t go through.

The reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles will continue to run the play that works so well for them as they try to earn their third win of the season.
