TOM Brady has compared an unexpected Tampa Bay Buccaneers star to golfing icon Bryson DeChambeau.
The legendary quarterback was on commentary for the Buccaneers‘ clash against the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday.

Brady, 48, made the surprise comparison live on the Fox NFL broadcast as Chase McLaughlin, 29, launched a long-range field goal.
The goal kicker recorded a successful field goal from 65 yards out.
His successful kick brought an end to the first half against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
The Buccaneers went into half-time 24-6 down.
“Great snap. He just absolutely nukes it,” Brady said. “Bryson DeChambeau style.”
“65 ho-hum and let’s go to half with a little bit of momentum.”
Brady’s comparison comes as the USA faced off against Team Europe in the 2025 Ryder Cup.
The 32-year-old DeChambeau is known for his exceptionally long drives on the golf course.
He featured for the USA during their 15-13 Ryder Cup loss against Europe over the weekend.
Northern Irish star Rory McIlroy reignited his feud with DeChambeau during the tournament by hanging a flag over the American’s name.
Brady’s comparison is particularly apt as the 65-yard effort is a career long for kicker McLaughlin.
It is also the longest successful field goal to ever be kicked outdoors in NFL history.
McLaughlin’s kick is just one yard shorter than the overall league regular season record.
Former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, 35, achieved success from 66 yards out at the Detroit Lions‘ Ford Field in 2021.

The kicker has bounced around between nine different teams since arriving in the NFL in 2019.
He split his debut season between five different franchises, including preseason and practice squad spells with the Buffalo Bills and the Minnesota Vikings.
McLaughlin has since found a permanent home in the league with the Buccaneers after joining in 2023.
The field goal also stands as the longest successful attempt from a losing team.
Brady’s momentum comment also proved poignant as quarterback Baker Mayfield, 30, threw two touchdowns during the third quarter.
However, this would not be enough as the Eagles clung on for a 31-25 win.
