WE all have our favorite Trader Joe’s snacks and treats and pantry staples.
For this foodie it’s the tasty sauce – the only problem is they haven’t seen it in stores for a long time.

The sauce is perfect for adding flavor to just any dish[/caption]
Luckily, it seems the sauce is just temporarily out of stock[/caption]
Taking to Facebook to shares their woes, the shopper said: “Haven’t seen this one in months, anyone know if it’s discontinued?
“Fell in love with this hot sauce and nothing truly compares to it!”
The sauce in question is the Trader Joe’s Peri-Peri Sauce, which usually retails for $3.49.
It’s easy to understand why the food fan was up in arms over the lack of sauce, which is made in South Africa.
The supermarket chain says the sauce has an “uncanny ability” to bring out the flavors of just about anything.
“From roasted chicken, to pork chops, to beer-battered fish, a nice drizzle of Peri-Peri can help bring out the inherent sweetness and depth of flavor to practically any protein.
“But that’s not all: it adds a new dimension to roasted veggies, tater tot nachos, and jackfruit tacos, it provides a delightful kick to fried rice, potato salad, or hummus, and makes an ideal dipping sauce for fried pickles, calamari, or tofu nuggets.”
Fellow Facebook users shared the food fan’s dismay over the apparent lack of sauce.
“I love this too, I hope it comes back soon,” one person wrote.
Luckily, others were certain the sauce hadn’t been discontinued and was just out of stock.
“We have it in Massachusetts, could be your local warehouse is temporarily out of stock,” someone else commented on the post.
“It was on the shelves yesterday,” another assured.
“Yes, I saw it in California today,” someone else chimed in.
The sauce isn’t the only item that’s caused a stir with shopper recently though, as food fans were convinced another favorite item has been discontinued.
The foodie said they hadn’t spotted Trader Joe’s Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Chocolate Fudge Oat Bars
The bars, which come in a box containing four, are priced at just $3.49 and are a great snack for summer if you’re not into ice-cream.
“Non Dairy Oat Fudge Bars are smooth, creamy, and delicious, just like the fudgy ice cream bars you remember from your childhood,” the product description notes.
Of course, one of the major selling points of the bars is the fact they’re dairy free, made instead with an oat base.
But they’re so tasty even Trader Joe’s claim you’d never be able to tell they’re not made with real cream.
So, it’s no wonder one shopper in particular was left saddened by the news the bars may be no more.
“So sad. Found out today these are discontinued due to slow sales. These were a summer favorite of ours,” she wrote on Facebook.
“My new mantra, don’t fall in love at Trader Joe’s. You’ll get your heart broken,” she added.
