Travis Kelce breaks silence on Taylor Swift engagement and shares excitement for ‘spending the rest of my life’ with her

TRAVIS Kelce has spoken publicly for the first time since his engagement to Taylor Swift.

The power couple broke the internet with their engagement post on Instagram last Tuesday.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce has since spoken out about his excitement ahead of tying the knot with the popstar.

In the latest episode of the New Heights Show, the loved-up footballer admits that he “still gets giddy” at the prospect of marrying Swift.

He said, “I appreciate everybody who reached out. All the excitement going on has been really fun, telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”

The pair were spotted watching Kelce’s former college side, the Cincinnati Bearcats, as the new season begins.

While the Bearcats suffered a 20-17 loss against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, it was not all bad for the megastars.

“It was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates,” explained an excited Kelce.

Kelce and Swift started dating in 2023 as the footballer attended her Eras tour in Kansas City.

The popstar has since become a fan favorite at the Arrowhead Stadium.

She has been regularly seen cheering on Kelce and his teammates.

Their joint Instagram post jokingly read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” it jokingly read.”

The image features Kelce on one knee proposing to the popstar, surrounded by flowers.

Swift’s engagement ring has shocked fans as the $1.2 million pricetag has been revealed.

She has since been spotted partying with Brittany Mahomes as the Chiefs’ quarterback’s wife celebrated her 30th birthday.

The Chiefs begin their 2025 NFL campaign in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, September 5.

They are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers at Arena Corinthians.

Swift is not expected to make the journey to Brazil to cheer on the Chiefs, although she will be cheering on from the United States.

Kelce has also offered one key piece of advice to his podcast listeners who are considering getting engaged.

He explained, “You gotta know your gal, or significant other.

“You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel you need to do it that way. Do it for the right reasons and it will be beautiful.”

Details on the power couple’s wedding are yet to be decided as the world watches on.
