In the 4th quarter of the game, the Chiefs trailed the Eagles 13-10.
However, Kansas City marched deep into the Eagles’ territory and were threatening to score.
On 2nd-and-goal from the Philadelphia six-yard line, Patrick Mahomes looked to Kelce to score a touchdown.
Mahomes’ throw hit Kelce’s hands, but the tight end couldn’t corral it and it popped up in the air.
The ball bounced right to Andrew Mukuba of the Eagles, who barely had to move to complete the interception.
Mukuba returned the ball 41 yards to set up the Eagles with excellent field position.
Kelce was left furious with himself after the error, and was even more so after the Eagles marched down the field.
After a deep pass to DeVonta Smith and two Tush Push plays, the Eagles took a 20-10 lead over the Chiefs.
Fans couldn’t believe Kelce made such a critical error to flip the game, and shared their thoughts on social media.
