Kelce, 35, is one of several high-profile stars to have made an appearance in the film.
In addition to the NFL tight end, the likes of Eminem, Scottie Scheffler and Bad Bunny all had a part to play.
Appearing on the Vanity Index podcast, co-producer Chad Mumm opened up on what it was like to work with Kelce.
The Emmy Award-winning star, who has also worked on Full Swing, said, “The only thing he had in his trailer was this massive like Eight Sleep bed and he would literally like go take a nap after filming.
“He’d film a scene and then everyone would go to lunch.
“And instead of lunch he would just take an hour long nap and then he would go, come back, film again. Then go back to sleep.”
Kelce’s cameo drew praise from star of the film Sandler.
The actor, 58, was reprising his role as Happy Gilmore 29 years after the first film.
Appearing on the red carpet, Sandler told The Hollywood Reporter what he thought of Kelce and Bad Bunny’s cameos.
They were both so confident and so funny,” the popular actor said.
“They’re gonna go on and do whatever the hell they want.
“But I’d love to do something with them again, because I got very friendly with them, and I love them both.”
Kelce was incredibly grateful to receive the opportunity to appear in the film.
The Chiefs star posted a heartfelt message to Sandler on Instagram last week.
