Troy Aikman gives up with MNF broadcast after saying ‘the product’s just not very good’ during Bengals-Broncos

TROY Aikman was fed up with what he was watching on Monday Night Football.

The Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals faced off on Monday night, but it was an incredibly ugly game.

It felt like head referee Alex Moore got more screen time than the actual players on Monday.

Aikman held in his ire about the constant flags until late in the third quarter.

This came after Denver’s Alex Palczewski was called for an illegal blindside block.

ESPN rules analyst Russell Yurk called the penalty a “good call,” which Aikman agreed with.

However, Aikman didn’t agree with the idea that a flag needed to be thrown.

“I’m not gonna keep my mouth shut,” Aikman said.

“That’s a good call. Just not a necessary call. No opportunity to try and make a play.

“Nothing brings a broadcast to a screeching halt more than these yellow flags.”

“I couldn’t agree more,” Yurk replied.

The broadcast went on for a bit longer before Aikman continued his rant against the penalty flags.

“The product’s just not very good,” Aikman said.

“I’m gonna be honest. It’s just not very good. I mean, this is ridiculous.”

Aikman wasn’t alone in his thinking either, as many fans agreed with his rant on social media.

“He’s spot on there are so many unnecessary flags,” one fan said.

“The NFL has a problem with penalties. It’s making it hard to watch,” another fan said.

“Agree with everything he says actually. The product IS awful,” a third fan said.

“There’s a point where you just gotta let em play football,” a fourth fan said.

“He’s right tho the game constantly gets worse when nearly every game is overtaken by insane amounts of penalties,” a fifth fan said.
