THE man who was found hiding in bushes and pointing a rifle at Donald Trump has appeared to try and stab himself in court as he’s found guilty of attempted assassination.
Deranged would-be shooter Ryan Routh, 59, learned his fate after 12 messy days of representing himself in the high-profile trial.

He grabbed a pen and thrust it toward his neck when the decision was read out, according to Fox News.
Four court marshals reportedly rushed toward the convicted criminal, dragged him out of the room, and brought him back in cuffs.
When he returned, Routh’s daughter, who was watching the trial, screamed, “Don’t do anything. I’m going to get you out of here,” according to the outlet.
She yelled out many more expletives before getting overwhelmed with emotions and running out of the courthouse.
News crews at the scene recorded her walking hurriedly away, but she wouldn’t answer any questions.
“Get the f**k out of my face,” the woman appeared to yell at reporters.
Meanwhile, Trump shared a long statement on Truth Social thanking federal prosecutors for clinching the conviction.
“This was an evil man with an evil intention, and they caught him,” the president wrote.
“A very big moment for justice in America!”
The jury found him guilty of five charges stemming from the incident in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15, 2024.
At the time, Trump was running for the presidency and had just been grazed on the ear in a harrowing assassination attempt.
