ONE person has been killed and another person shot in a shooting at the University of New Mexico as the suspect remains on the loose.
Police told students to shelter in place and avoid campus as they hunt the shooter after gunfire rang out early on Friday morning.

The university said cops received a report of gunshots fired at a student housing center at the college in Albuquerque.
When they responded to the scene, they found two victims shot.
One person died while the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
UNM closed the central campus and said the suspect might still be on campus.
