
Veteran Malayalam actor Sreenivasan has passed away at the age of 69. Industry sources have confirmed that the well-regarded screenwriter died at a private hospital on Saturday morning. According to reports, he was admitted on Friday night at Tripunithura.
The actor is based out in Kannur; however, he has been living in Kochi for several years now. His work has made him one of the well-noted and venerated actors in the Malayalam film industry. However, apart from acting, he has also been a noted writer, director, dubbing artist, and producer. He has worked in more than 200 films. In 1976, he made his debut with the film Manimuzhakkam.
Regarding his work as a writer, he has written for more than 50 films to date. He is known for his satire and humour. He used his humour and wit to highlight the common man’s issues, which eventually made him relevant and relatable to the people of Kerala.
His sudden demise leaves the industry mourning. Industry colleagues and his fans are pouring their love for the late actor on their social media handles, thanking him for his contributions and for how, over the years, he has made everyone laugh with his work on screen.
