FANS were blown away by an epic rendition of the national anthem in the opening week of the NFL.
The Chicago Bears hosted the Minnesota Vikings for a brilliant game in Week 1 of the NFL.

Jim Cornelison blew away fans with his singing[/caption]
The crowd and players were equally appreciative of the rendition[/caption]
The visitors walked away 27-24 victors thanks to a monumental fourth-quarter charge led by J.J. McCarthy.
However, before the game even kicked off, Soldier Field was treated to a rousing performance of The Star-Spangled Banner.
Jim Cornelison, a local favourite in Chicago, had the stadium cheering just seconds after opening his mouth.
Cornelison usually sings the national anthem for the city’s NHL team, the Blackhawks.
The players seemingly enjoyed the performance too.
Vikings defensive tackle Levi Drake Rodriguez stood with his eyes closed and arms outstretched, taking in the performance.
ESPN’s SportsCenter posted the video of his performance on X.
It was simply captioned, “GOOSEBUMPS.
“Jim Cornelison delivered the national anthem before Vikings-Bears.”
Fans equally loved the performance, praising the singer.
One said, “That voice hits differently in the stadium.”
Another commented, “I’ve heard him more times than I can count, but last night was special.
“You could hear the crowd singing along with him. It was wonderful.”
A third wrote, “That Vikings vs Bears National Anthem performance was one of the greatest of all time.
“Standing by myself in my living room, hat off, hand on the heart and CHILLS over my entire body. WOW.”

He threw two touchdowns and rushed 14 yards into the end zone in the final 15 minutes.

He unfortunately tore his meniscus in his right knee, causing him to miss the entirety of his 2024 rookie season.
