WALMART shoppers have been left devastated after the chain confirmed it has axed a beloved drink.
For years customers have been struggling to get their hands on the soda that is a dupe of an iconic brand and now they know why.

The revelation was made on X after one shopper confronted the retailer.
“@Walmart why did you discontinue the Great Value diet cream soda? Please bring it back!” the customer begged.
The chain responded with sympathy and gave cream soda fans hope that it could be brought back.
“We understand how frustrating it can be when your favorite item is discontinued,” Walmart told the shopper.
“Your feedback is important to us, and we’d love to hear your thoughts.”
Fans have long raved about the “delicious” diet soda that offered a rival to the A&W Zero Sugar Cream Pop Soda.
And they have been begging the retailer for months to bring it back.
“The BEST diet soda ever,” one reviewer wrote.
They shared how the retailer quietly discontinued the drink as one by one their local stores showed the product as out of stock.
“I assume for all intents and purposes Walmart has discontinued what seems to be a very highly rated product,” the shopper concluded before slamming the move.
“Way to go Walmart! Genius to make a highly rated product unavailable,” they added.
Others have begged in the review section for the chain to bring back the soda.
“PLEASE PLEASE restock the Great Value Diet Cream Soda Pop, 12 fl oz, 12 Pack Cans!!!!! I cannot find it anywhere!” one shopper wrote.
“It has to be a good seller because I could not find it all the time and when I did I bought all you had!!!”
“This is the best soda ever and every time it’s out of stock, I panic that it will be discontinued,” another wrote.
“Please don’t ever do that,” they begged months before the chain confirmed the discontinuation.
Walmart still sells the A&W version but it notably has a lower customer review rating of 3.7 stars out of 5 compared to the dupe which had 4.6 stars.
