Walmart confirms plans to open first-of-its-kind store – it’s dubbed ‘your FYP on wheels’

WALMART plans to open a first-of-its-kind store, and it promises to bring your products tailored to your tastes.

Dubbed “your FYP on wheels”, in a nod to TikTok‘s user-curated social media feed, the new stores are designed to appeal to the younger generations.

Walmart is taking its stores on the road in a brand new concept for the retailer.

Mobile pop-up Walmart stores are coming to parks, festivals and concerts across America in hopes of attracting Gen Z shoppers.

The pop-ups are coming from August through to November 2025, and will stop in cities like New York, Los Angeles and Houston.

The stores are carrying all the latest themes that young people will recognize, including Rodeo Dream, K-Pop Era, and Nature Break.

Shoppers will also be treated to giveaways, merch, photo ops and immersive experiences designed to grab social media attention.

The pop-ups even promise to be like “your FYP on wheels”.

This is a nod to TikTok‘s algorithm that learns what content users like so it can give them more like it.

The company said: “Walmart is hitting the road with a fleet of head-turning delivery trucks, packed with experiences to level up what you love.

“Whatever you’re into — we get it, we have it, and we can deliver it. Who knew?”

WHAT YOU’LL BE GETTING

The Walmart pop-up fleet includes five trucks, all aimed at different themes.

The first truck is bringing you your K-Pop era, based on the popular music coming out of South Korea.

This van features products like a photocard binder, and other items curated to this theme.

The Lo-Fi truck allows you to play some iconic throwback games on the machine and on the board.

The pop-up promises to turn into a hub for gamers and those who love a bit of friendly competition.

Rodeo Dream takes things out West, delivering you all the accessories and products inspired by your favorite Westerns.

This includes items like custom leather belts, and there is also the opportunity to play rodeo games.

Walmart really knows their Gen Z crowd, as Woosah is a slang term referencing a desire to achieve a state of calm or relaxation.
