WALMART, the largest retailer in the world, is once again undergoing a major internal change, as revealed by a recently leaked memo.
The high-stakes switch-up comes on the heels of the retail giant’s 1,500 layoffs in May.
In another effort to simplify its structure, Walmart is reworking several store-support and training roles, per an internal memo seen by Reuters.
Hundreds of store-support roles will be impacted, according to Bloomberg, which first reported the news.
The retail giant is getting rid of the market coordinator role, Walmart US executive vice president of store operations, Cedric Clark, told staff in a memo distributed on Wednesday.
The market coordinator position assists in coordinating data compilation and analysis on behalf of some managers.
