Good morning KELOLAND! We are starting the day with quiet weather across much of KELOLAND with areas of fog across the east.
Scattered storms fired yesterday West River. In fact, baseball size hail fell just west of Rapid City. You can see those storms on the radar loop below.
Those storms missed most of the official reporting stations West River, however.
Another warm afternoon is ahead for Sioux Falls. There could be a few isolated t-storms in the southeast later today or this evening.
You can see a few hints of that activity on Futurecast below. Otherwise, most areas will stay dry overnight tonight. Another hot day is ahead tomorrow for central and western SD. We do expect above normal temperatures to linger into Thursday ahead of the next cold front. Thunderstorms will become likely Thursday night into Friday as the front pushes through the region. Much cooler weather is likely for the weekend into early next week.
