The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued a weather warning for 47 provinces in Thailand. The north and northeast regions are expected to experience heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods.

In the north, including Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, and Tak, thunderstorms are expected in 60% of the area. Temperatures will range from 22°C to 32°C. Residents are advised to prepare for potential heavy rain and flooding.

The northeast faces a higher probability of thunderstorms, covering 70% of the area. Provinces such as Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani should remain cautious due to heavy rainfall. Temperatures here will range between 22°C and 33°C.

In central Thailand, including Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Lopburi, and Saraburi, 40% of the area will experience thunderstorms, with temperatures between 24°C and 34°C.

The east region, with provinces like Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat, will see thunderstorms in 60% of the area and heavy rain in some parts. Temperatures will vary from 24°C to 34°C. Sea conditions will feature waves up to 2 metres high, increasing during thunderstorms.

On the southern east coast, including Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, thunderstorms will affect 40% of the area.

Temperatures will range from 22°C to 35°C. The sea will have waves around 1 metre high, reaching 2 metres offshore, and over 2 metres during thunderstorms.

The southern west coast, affecting provinces such as Ranong, Phang Nga, and Phuket, will experience thunderstorms in 60% of the area, with heavy rain in some places. Temperatures will range from 23°C to 33°C.

From Phang Nga upwards, sea waves will be about 2 metres high, increasing during thunderstorms. South of Phuket, waves will be 1 to 2 metres, exceeding 2 metres during storms, reported KhaoSod.

Bangkok and the surrounding provinces will experience a 40% chance of rainfall across the area. Temperatures will range between 24 to 25 degrees Celsius at the lowest, climbing to highs of 33 to 34 degrees Celsius.
