WENDY’S has unveiled a new spicy chicken and fries deal following a collaboration with an iconic brand.
But the unique meal has a twist – and it offers an extra treat for diners.

Wendy’s said in a statement that it’s giving fans a “whole new take” on snack brand Takis.
The duo has joined forces to create a special Takis Fuego Meal.
But you’ll need to be quick, as it’s only available for a limited time.
It features the Takis fuego chicken sandwich and Takis-inspired fuego fries.
There’s a twist though, as it’s “equal parts spicy, crunchy and savory,” said Wendy’s.
The Wendy’s part of this collab is seasoned spicy chicken filet.
It’s topped with crushed Takis fuego chips.
But there’s more – the meal deal includes chili lime sauce, creamy corn spread and a cheddar cheese sauce “to create a one-of-a-kind sandwich that is equal parts spicy, crunchy and savory,” Wendy’s said.
And, as an added bonus, the Takis takeover has been extended to offer diners Wendy’s new fuego fries, “inspired by Takis.”
Wendy’s classic hot and crispy fries have been tossed in a tangy chili lime seasoning.
This is served in a custom-made tear away bag to allow easier access to the fries, “perfect for sharing… or not,” it joked.
Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for Wendy’s, said, “We know how to keep things spicy.
“And we love serving up fresh, famous collaborations that tap into consumers passion points, which made this partnership with Takis a no-brainer.
“By joining forces with such an iconic and beloved snacking brand, we’re turning up the heat and flavor in a way only Wendy’s can.”

The new Takis Fuego Meal is available in U.S. restaurants starting June 20.
It then rolls out to Canada restaurants starting June 30.
Wendy’s also said that, from June 20 to July 20, diners can play its app game, Spice Invasion, for a chance to win thousands of dollars.
The retro arcade-style game sees players navigate treacherous terrain, blasting Wendy’s menu items with Takis chips to earn points.
Available from June 20 until July 20, players have the chance to win prizes and be entered to win the grand prize of $10,000.
The new Takis Fuego Meal is available in U.S. restaurants starting June 20.
It then rolls out to Canada restaurants starting June 30.
The new spicy meal is available for a limited time only, as it will be offered “while supplies last.”
