What the ‘oWo’ to ‘Bella Ciao’ engravings on the bullets in the Charlie Kirk case mean

FOUR bullet casings were recovered from the gun of Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin, all containing twisted messages.

The rifle was found in a wooded area near the gravel roof of the Losee Center on the college campus, which is where the shooter is believed to have taken aim at Kirk.

Cops confirmed last Friday that the engravings expressed anti-fascist ideology and sexual taunts.

One bullet read “Oh, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao Ciao Ciao”.

A different casing disturbingly mocked investigators, stating “If you read this, you are gay LMAO.”

Some messages seemed cryptic, one spelling out “*Notices bulges* OwO what’s this?” and another reading “Hey fascist! Catch!” followed by mysterious directions.

The bullet casings are believed to be referencing fascism, video games and internet memes.

What do the Charlie Kirk case bullet engravings mean?

Utah Governor Spencer Cox read out a list of messages that were found engraved on suspect Tyler Robinson’s bullet casings.

Below are the possible meanings behind the engravings.

The message “Oh, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao Ciao Ciao” consists of lyrics from an Italian song used as a rally cry for anti-fascist resistance fighters during WWII.

A popular remix of the song has hit more than 260 million streams on Spotify worldwide, the song becoming popular on TikTok and the gaming community.

Additionally, the directions on the casing that wrote “Hey fascist! Catch!” were an up arrow, right arrow, and three down arrow symbols.

Gamers recognised the arrow sequence as the controller button instructions to release a bomb in the video game Helldivers.

The out of touch comment “If you read this, you are gay LMAO” appears to mock investigators, “LMAO” being a well known abbreviation for “laughing my a** off”.

Finally, the casing that read “Notices bulges OwO what’s this?” has been identified as an internet meme used by gamers, referencing furries – who are people who have a sexual interest in human-like animal characters – and animated videos.

The word “OwO” is an emoticon of a cute face and used as a way of flirting but can also be used in a mocking way by anyone outside the community.
