Alex Greenwood is in a relationship with former football star Jack O’Connell.
The pair have bonded over their love of the game and have known each other for quite some time.
Much like the 31-year-old England international, former Premier League star O’Connell has devoted his life to football, having emerged from Blackburn Rovers‘ academy.
O’Connell made a single appearance for the Lancashire team before signing with Brentford after a series of loan spells at Rotherham United, York City and Rochdale.
He played for Sheffield United as a centre-back before having to retire due to an injury.
It was announced in July that he was retiring from his football career.
Speaking about their relationship, Alex told The Guardian: “Often, at home, all Jack and I talk about is football, we watch it and analyse it all the time.
“People ask what I do to get away from the game but I don’t want to escape it.”

During the Women’s World Cup Jack made it clear how proud he was of Alex.
He told Sky Sports during the tournament: “[I’m] really proud of her. I’ve been there from the very start. I used to go and watch Alex when she was 16. It’s unbelievable how far it’s grown now.
“I’m her biggest critic as well. The standard that she sets herself, she has more to come.
“I get goose bumps when I think about it but I think she’s one of the best centre-halves in the world and she still has gears to go through.”
He shared an emotional message on social media announcing his retirement, and paid tribute to his supportive girlfriend.
Jack wrote: “To partner Alex, who has given me support through my lowest moments.
“She is a supremely talented footballer and it has been a great consolation to be able to watch her career go from strength to strength.
“I am her biggest fan.”
