ANOTHER convenience store and gas station is hitting a popular U.S. state.
Buc-ee’s, known for its large stores, clean bathrooms, fresh Texas barbeque and Beaver Nuggets, is set to open a new location in Wisconsin, according to local reports.

The store will feature a 73,370-square-foot store with 120 gas station pumps and 20 electric vehicle charges, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Buc-ee’s said the store may open in early 2027 in the city of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, alongside Interstate 94.
The Oak Creek Plan Commission approved the plans last week, advancing the project, according to TMJ4.
The new location would operate as a 24-hour shopping center.
The company expects over 10,000 cars will visit the Oak Creek store daily due to its strategic spot next to the highway, per TMJ4.
BUSY BEAVER
Buc-ee’s operates 54 locations, with a majority of them in the south.
The giant sized gas station can be found throughout Texas, its birthplace, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.
The locations reach a little more north with stores in South Carolina, Virginia and Colorado.
The beaver logo stems from a nickname of the co-founder and CEO, Arch “Beaver” Aplin.
He revealed to CBS Sunday Morning that his nickname “Beaver” came from his mother, who got it from a cartoon character named Bucky Beaver in a toothpaste commercial.
RESIDENTS REACT
Local residents have mixed feelings about the store opening.
Oak Creek Resident Flacko Shahin told TMJ4 he visits Buc-ee’s locations when he’s out of state.
“I’m a huge Buc-ee’s person. If I ever make it to Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, like any of the states where Buc-ee’s is nearby, I have to go,” he said.
Shahin said he supports the idea of bringing the chain to Wisconsin and its 24-hour convenience.
“I don’t see anything wrong with it. A 24-hour shopping center and we’re going to complain? I think we should have one,” he told the outlet.

“People want to go to Buc-ee’s. They’re throwing it right next to the highway. Everyone is going to stop at a Buc-ee’s,” he continued.
“Buc-ee’s have billboards like right here on the border, even though the closest one is like 500 miles away.”
Local resident James Feffer expressed his concern about traffic with the location popping up next to the highway.
“Little concerned with the traffic since that is the next highway stop from where I live. So that might cause some issues in the morning and at night,” he told TMJ4.
Buc-ee’s did not immediately respond for The U.S. Sun’s request for comment on the upcoming Wisconsin location.

ANOTHER STORE
On October 1, Buc-ee’s announced the opening of a new travel center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The new location, set to open on October 14, will be the chain’s fourth store in Tennessee.
The chain, which has been compared to a cult, is also looking to expand in Ohio, Arkansas and Arizona, breaking ground in those states.
