The shooting happened on August 29 inside a home in Hamtramck, Michigan, roughly 5 miles north of downtown Detroit, according to police.
Police said they arrived after a 911 call and found two people dead from gunshot wounds.
Family members identified the victim as 24-year-old Brianna Frame.
Her killer, who has not been named by police was her ex-boyfriend and father of her child.
Brianna’s brother, Donald Frame, was inside the home when the gunfire erupted.
“She’s screaming, and then I saw him shoot her in the face,” Donald told NBC affiliate WDIV.
“I went to grab my dad, and then I told him that she’s been shot.”
Loved ones say Brianna’s daughter, Kameron, was just feet away when the violence unfolded.
“Just sucks for the baby cause the baby has to grow up without parents because he was so selfish,” cousin Alicia Lepkowski said.
“She was a good mom. Even still with her passing, there are still packages coming to the house that she ordered, stuff for her baby,” Alicia added.
Relatives are struggling to process what happened.
“Nobody should have to come back to the house and clean up a family member’s blood from the ground,” Alicia said.
“How do you even go on?” she added.
Donald said his sister was looking forward to milestones with her daughter.

“My sister was only 24 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her,” he said.
“She was looking forward to her daughter walking and her first birthday; he just took that away from us.”
Brianna’s obituary described her daughter as the center of her world.
It said she “enjoyed every minute of the 10 months she was able to raise her.”
Her aunt, Michelle Lynn, wrote on Facebook that Brianna was killed inside her parents’ home.
The family has set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs and to support Kameron.
“Brianna was murdered. Her baby’s father shot her and himself in front of their 10-month-old baby girl,” Alicia wrote on the page.
She said all donations will go toward funeral expenses and Kameron’s future.
“I’m also praying for every woman that is going through domestic violence,” Alicia added.
The fundraiser has already brought in nearly $4,000 of its $4,500 goal.
Relatives say they will make sure Kameron grows up knowing who her mother was.
